SUPERNAP Thailand Sustainability goals are:

1) Energy Management
2) Waste Management
3) Sustainable Community
4) Renewable Energy
1) Energy Management
Our enery goals are achieved by maintaining a low PUE level and running our data center in an efficient way.
We are able to achieve a lower PUE level than the average data center in Thailand, due to Switch’s patented TSCIF, which is a 100% heat containment platform that completely separates the hot and cold aisles ensuring that the hot equipment exhaust is never blended into the cold aisles in the data center.
The TSCIF works in tandem with our air handlers that has its own environmental station and software that will decide (based on the ambient condition) which one of the 3 types of cooling (or combination) is the most efficient way to cool and humidify the air on the way into the data hall.
Furthermore, the data center is equipped with motion sensors and LED lights.
2) Waste Management
We have a waste management policy in place to affirm SUPERNAP Thailand’s commitment to efficient waste management, to reduce and recycle waste produced, and to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
The data center installed highly-efficiency lavatories that saves a substantial amount of water.
We have digitalized many of our operational procedures, whereby we hardly use any paper. Our customers are required to complete forms and requests via our customer portal without the need of printing the documents.
In the data center we use filtered water to minimize the use of plastic bottles.
Furthermore, we separate our materials in different bins for recycling purposes.
3) Sustainable Community
We support and help the local community to have food security, clean water and sanitation, better health and quality education by providing donations to institutions and hospitals and by and working closely with universities.
4) Renewable Energy
In line with the company’s policy to help save the planet, reduce global warming and greenhouse effect, SUPERNAP Thailand was the first multi-tenant data center implementing a solar panel farm in Thailand, bringing renewable energy to the digital infrastructure of the country.
In addition, SUPERNAP Thailand in partnership with Schneider Electric launched the Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) Thailand Chapter. iMasons is a global network with more than 2,000 members with the goal to connect, grow and give back. The 4 pillars that iMasons focusses on is Sustainability, Education, Diversity & Inclusion and Technical Innovation.
